We are in search of a seasoned DevSecOps Engineer to collaborate with our United States Air Force client, focusing on both development and engineering practices, as well as site reliability engineering and operations.

The DevSecOps Engineer will be responsible for constructing, managing, maintaining, and scaling operational infrastructures and their supporting platforms. This role is crucial for business development and serves as a key subject matter expert for consulting and implementation support.


Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, operate, and maintain secure cloud products and services within a cloud-based framework to empower development teams to deliver features efficiently.

Maintain and enhance continuous build/integration infrastructure.

Provide Source Control Management and Documentation; create and sustain fully automated CI build processes across multiple environments; develop, build, and deploy scripts.

Facilitate CI/CD tools integration, operations, change management, and maintenance. Support the full automation of CI/CD testing.

Support policies, standards, guidelines, governance, and related directives for both CI/CD operations and developer workflows.

Enable effective release management by transitioning code from Development and Testing environments to Staging and Production.


Collaborate closely with software developers, production support, and information security teams to automate and support infrastructure and tooling in cloud-based platforms.

Provide guidance and implement agile and DevOps/DevSecOps methodologies to streamline product delivery and ensure reliable operations.

Continuously seek opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.

Typical Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree with nine (9) years or more of relevant experience; Master's degree with seven (7) years or more; PhD or JD with four (4) years or more. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.


Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance and the capability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Demonstrated experience in DevOps software development environments, with specific expertise in one or more of the following areas:

Software Program Management / Acquisition

Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban

Agile collaboration tools like Atlassian Jira and Confluence

CI/CD with Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, or MS Azure

Cloud - Platform One

Cross Domain Solutions

C-ATO

Multi-Level Security Networks (MLS / MILS)

Containerization using Docker or Red Hat Podman

Container management with Kubernetes and Helm

Security automation

Target Salary Range:
$160,001 - $200,000. This range reflects the typical salary for this position based on experience and other relevant factors.

SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis, with no specific deadline.
