Job Overview:

  • The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in automating provisioning workflows, resolving intricate issues, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • AWS Cloud Management: Spearhead the design, deployment, and oversight of AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Code Provisioning Optimization: Identify and eliminate outdated or redundant code from provisioning scripts to enhance deployment efficiency.
  • S3 Storage Administration: Oversee and refine S3 storage solutions, ensuring cost-effective and high-performance management.
  • CloudOS Manifest Updates: Revise manifests for CloudOS to guarantee accurate sizing and optimal configuration for various applications and services.
  • Automation and Scripting: Create and maintain automation scripts to boost operational efficiency and minimize manual tasks.
  • CI/CD Implementation: Establish and sustain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, automating build, test, and deployment processes.
  • System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary adjustments to uphold compliance and operational standards.
  • Collaboration and Mentorship: Work with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges and mentor junior engineers to foster their skills and professional development.
  • Security and Compliance: Conduct regular security evaluations and apply best practices to protect cloud environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of hands-on experience managing extensive AWS environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of additional AWS services such as AWS Lambda, Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, AWS ECS/EKS, CloudFormation, etc.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Strong scripting abilities (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on performance and cost optimization.
  • Proven track record in leading successful cloud migration initiatives or large-scale cloud implementations.
  • Security expertise in implementing and managing security controls in AWS environments, including knowledge of AWS security best practices.
  • Expertise in optimizing performance and cost management for AWS resources.
  • Experience integrating security practices within the DevOps framework (DevSecOps).
  • Strong presentation and documentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, or other relevant advanced certifications.
