Your Role and Responsibilities
As the Risk and Control Lead, you will excel in building relationships with first-line business unit managers to facilitate effective Risk and Control Activities.
This position entails collaborating with senior leaders to nurture a strong culture of self-assessment and risk accountability among business managers and their teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Stay informed about business operations within your domain, particularly those that may alter the group's risk profile.
- Assist in the dynamic risk assessment process by conducting annual risk and control self-assessments within your area.
- Provide strategic and collaborative support to designated business units, including coaching, training, and expertise on risk and control initiatives.
- Promote enhancements in control awareness and management capabilities through continuous oversight and evaluations.
- Manage Archer administration tasks, including inputs and updates for findings/action plans, incident registrations, and modifications of risk and controls.
To qualify for the Risk and Control Lead position, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with a Risk Control/Management Framework (RCF/RMF) and an Enterprise Governance Risk and Compliance (EGRC) platform, preferably RSA Archer.
- An understanding of the regulatory landscape and its implications for control monitoring and testing programs.
- The ability to exercise sound judgment and propose suitable action plans.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills with a risk-aware mindset.
- Exceptional analytical skills to present complex issues clearly and concisely.
- Proficient relationship management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- The capacity to quickly absorb information, whether orally or in writing.
- Flexibility and adaptability to varying scopes and workloads.
