Job Summary

Zak Designs is seeking a skilled Production Assembler to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling dinnerware and flatware into sets and displays, pre-pricing product to meet customer needs. You will also perform first-line quality assurance procedures on all products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and unpackage product
  • Examine product for defects
  • Assemble and package product
  • Pre-price product as necessary
  • Shrink wrap product as necessary
  • Perform general clean-up of the production room, conveyor, tape machine, tables, etc.
  • Assist in the unloading of trucks and in the warehousing of product
  • Assemble display corrugation
  • Break out product from masters to inners for key customers

Education and Experience

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months of related experience and/or training are required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Language Skills

You must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, shipping documents, and memos. You must also be able to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Basic speaking and understanding skills are required.

Mathematical Skills

You must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

You must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions. You must be able to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or limited variables.

Work Environment

The work environment is typically moderate to loud, with regular exposure to moving mechanical parts. You must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, and hear. You must also be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and on some occasions lift up to 50 pounds.

Salary
