Job Summary

KCO Resource Management is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead the technical execution of our aseptic processing facility in Rochester, NY. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing strategic technical projects, serving as a top resource and technical expert in aseptic processing, and developing sustainable solutions using continuous improvement methodology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage strategic technical projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Serve as a top resource and technical expert in aseptic processing, providing solutions and expertise for operations, engineering, and reliability
  • Engineer sustainable solutions using continuous improvement methodology
  • Assist technical engineers, maintenance, and operations in troubleshooting and resolving reoccurring issues
  • Work with plant vendors to reverse engineer critical parts/components of equipment, ensuring quality parts are made to specification
  • Lead the planning and implementation of processing technical projects, developing plans, managing budget, and tracking project deliverables
  • Coordinate and assist the maintenance and processing departments, monitoring performance and implementing improvements to eradicate variances
  • Develop and maintain a continuous improvement culture throughout the facility, utilizing data tools to drive root causes
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 10+ years' experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • Aseptic experience required, including UHT's, homogenizers, separators, filtration plants, mix proof valves, motors, pumps
  • Able to travel 50% in the first year to Arizona, then 10% thereafter
  • Ability to update P&ID's, mechanical/electrical prints (CAD/SolidWorks preferred)
  • Skilled in organized resources and establishing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies
  • Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgements on confidential issues
  • Ability to supervise and train staff, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
  • Ability to understand and modify PLCs, VFD's, network switches
  • Knowledge of computerized information systems used in quality assurance, maintenance, and ERP applications
  • Able to understand and utilize engineering drawing, operating manuals, and blueprints to conduct business
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time, climb ladders, lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
  • Knowledge of USDA, State, Federal regulations for aseptic manufacturing
