Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Engineer plays a crucial role in providing engineering and development assistance to ensure that the most effective methods are utilized for various projects, focusing on cost-effectiveness. This role involves collaboration with manufacturing, quality assurance, and engineering teams to establish practices that meet or surpass client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the Process Engineer and Chief Manufacturing Engineer to define part quality standards.
  • Contribute to the development of work instructions, quality plans, and training materials for manufacturing and quality assurance.
  • Engage with technical personnel from clients regarding ongoing or future projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of precise cost analyses and delivery time estimates for proposals.
  • Make informed decisions regarding new production quotes and product line expansions.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Manufacturing Engineer to improve manufacturing throughput, profit margins, and overall efficiency.
  • Work with manufacturing, quality assurance, and engineering teams to minimize non-conforming materials.
  • Support the manufacturing department in process development initiatives.
  • Participate in identifying strategic processes and skills, implementing related procedures and training.
  • Conduct analysis of products and processes aimed at cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency enhancement, providing actionable recommendations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Optical Engineering with over 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with customer and company specifications through the interpretation of guidelines and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for translating technical data.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including SolidWorks and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Mastercam is advantageous but not mandatory.
