Family Advocate Opportunity at EPIC Early Learning

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Advocate to support families in accessing resources and services they need to thrive. As a Family Advocate, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining relationships with families, conducting assessments of their needs, and connecting them with appropriate community resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit and enroll families, ensuring eligibility requirements are met and documentation is accurate.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with families, providing ongoing support and guidance.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of family needs and develop individualized family partnership agreements.
  • Assist families in accessing resources and services, including healthcare, education, and housing.
  • Collaborate with families to set and achieve goals related to their child's development and overall well-being.
  • Advocate for families within the community and facilitate communication between families and service providers.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to families during times of need.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of family interactions and progress towards goals.
Requirements:
  • HSD/GED required.
  • Bilingual/Bi-literate, English and Spanish required.
  • Credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in social work/health setting.
  • Knowledge of child development and early childhood education principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Cultural competence and the ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry.
