We are seeking a skilled technician with a background in electrical work or HVAC systems who is interested in advancing their career in building automation technology. This position involves the installation and maintenance of sophisticated building automation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure building automation systems (BAS) and related components.
- Interpret and analyze construction documents effectively.
- Understand and implement BAS control schematics, ensuring proper installation of cabling and devices.
- Set up control cabling, including communication and sensor wiring.
- Install electrical raceways in compliance with NEC standards.
- Work independently and demonstrate initiative as required.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and other trades.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-4 years of experience in controls installation or related electrical work.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in controls installation or a similar capacity.
- Certification from a recognized trade school or apprenticeship program.
- In-depth knowledge of building automation systems.
- Familiarity with NEC 2019 or higher electrical codes.
- Ability to install conduit and electrical raceways.
- Leadership capabilities.
Compensation: Pay is commensurate with experience, ranging from $22 to $40 per hour.
