Sales Engineer for Building Automation Systems

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Engineer to join our team at Jobot. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals. Your primary focus will be on control systems, building automation systems (BAS), B2B sales, networking, and energy management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
  • Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and project the number of contacts to be made.
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
  • Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
  • Prepare presentations, proposals, and sales contracts.
  • Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
  • Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
  • Identify and resolve client concerns.
  • Coordinate with the company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events.
  • Follow-up for collection of payment.
  • Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services.
  • Provide on-the-job training to new sales employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in controls sales, building automation systems (BAS), B2B sales, HVAC, networking, or energy management.
  • Proven track record in b2b sales, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Professional Image.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team to achieve sales goals.
  • Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
  • Exceptional listening and questioning skills.
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
  • Valid driver's license.
