Job Overview
The Building Automation Systems Engineer will be tasked with programming, graphical interface development, application engineering, installation, and commissioning of innovative Building Automation Systems. This role involves the daily management of specific projects and agreements to ensure that contractual obligations are fulfilled efficiently and cost-effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Programming of Niagara N4 systems
- Configuration of Honeywell Spyder Classic/5/7, CIPer, and Optimizer controllers
- Setup of third-party control devices
- Commissioning of both new and retrofitted control systems
- Troubleshooting and diagnostics for new and existing systems
- Creation of user-friendly customer interfaces (graphics)
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Assisting with project layout, engineering, and design
- Interpreting mechanical and control schematics, sequences, and design intent
- Developing operational sequences for retrofit applications and identifying deficiencies in engineered sequences
- Providing quality as-built documentation
- Identifying additional control opportunities and deficiencies
- Offering sales assistance as needed for technically complex or sensitive project opportunities
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years of continuous experience with Niagara N4
- 5+ years of experience in HVAC controls
