Job Overview

The Boar's Head Resort is seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team in the AM shift at the Mill Room restaurant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Chef de Cuisine in maintaining high standards of culinary excellence and consistency.
  • Supervise and coordinate the preparation and presentation of menu items, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional quality.
  • Coach and develop junior chefs, providing guidance and support to ensure their growth and success.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to plan and execute menu development, specials, and promotions.
  • Monitor and control food costs, labor expenses, and inventory levels, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Develop and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive dining experience for guests.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or resort setting.
  • Proven track record of leadership, coaching, and team development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
