Sous Chef

As a Sous Chef with Morrison Healthcare, you will play a key role in the successful operation of the Culinary Department. You will assist the Executive Chef in managing cost controls, planning and creating menus, and producing and executing catering events. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and entrepreneurial Culinary professional to join our team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Executive Chef in managing cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account
- Assist the Executive Chef in planning and creating menus that meet the needs of our clients
- Produce and execute catering events that exceed our clients' expectations
- Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with Company marketing and culinary team
- A.S. or equivalent experience in culinary arts or a related field
- Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending on formal degree or training
- Catering experience a plus
- High volume, complex foodservice operations experience highly desirable
- Institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful
- Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- Must be experienced with computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and the Internet
- Must be willing to participate in client satisfaction programs and activities
- ServSafe certified highly desirable
