Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Systems Engineer to join our team at Garmin. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex RF systems, including antennas, for our aviation products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop RF systems, including antennas, for our aviation products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test plans
  • Conduct technical research and stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers to ensure knowledge transfer and growth
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to ensure high-quality designs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience in RF systems design
  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience in RF systems design
  • Doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 1 year of industry experience in RF systems design
  • Excellent academic record, with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience with RF design tools, such as HFSS and simulation-driven design workflows
  • Knowledge of RF design principles, including antenna design and analysis
Preferred Qualifications
  • Outstanding academic record, with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Extensive experience with RF design tools, such as Keysight Pathwave (ADS) or AWR Microwave Office
  • Experience with antenna design, including patch antennas, quad-helix antennas, and other large form factor antennas
  • Knowledge of RF system design principles, including system-level design and analysis
