Engineering Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Technician to join our team at Johnson County Government. As an Engineering Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the management of infrastructure projects, applying engineering design standards and procedures, and analyzing data to inform project decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Support Senior Engineering Technicians, Project Managers, and Engineers in the management of infrastructure projects
- Apply engineering design standards and procedures to complete routine project tasks
- Analyze, research, and interpret data to inform project decisions
- Develop and present recommendations to project leads for assigned project tasks
- Document and create data in documents, files, and systems
- Complete quality control tasks for project submittals
- Provide customer service through responding to inquiries from residents, the general public, consultants, cities, and contractors
- Assist with utility locates and conduct inspections supporting JCW's existing infrastructure programs
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, or equivalent
- One (1) year of job-related experience working for an engineering and/or construction organization
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
