Engineering Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician to join our team at Johnson County Government. As an Engineering Technician, you will play a critical role in the management of infrastructure projects, applying engineering design standards and procedures to complete routine project tasks. You will analyze, research, and interpret data during review of study and design projects, developing and presenting recommendations to project leads. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to provide customer service through responding to inquiries from residents, the general public, consultants, cities, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities- Support Senior Engineering Technicians, Project Managers, and Engineers in the management of infrastructure projects.
- Apply engineering design standards and procedures to complete routine project tasks.
- Analyze, research, and interpret data during review of study and design projects.
- Develop and present recommendations to project leads.
- Provide customer service through responding to inquiries from residents, the general public, consultants, cities, and contractors.
Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, or equivalent; one (1) year of job-related experience working for an engineering and/or construction organization; and a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record are required. Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Technology, or equivalent is preferred.
