Job Summary

Webber is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team in the Greater Houston Area. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, metal, or composites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Construct forms and chutes for placing concrete
  • Erect, climb, and work on scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above the ground level at heights up to 100 feet or below ground level at depths down to 50 feet
  • Assemble cut and shaped materials and fasten them together with nails, dowel pins, or glue, or form accessories
  • Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans for information pertaining to the type of material required and dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated
  • Prepare layouts, mark cuttings and assembly lines on materials
  • Shape materials to prescribed measurements
Requirements
  • Ability to communicate in English via verbal and written communications
  • Move throughout a construction jobsite which includes minor obstacles including climbing ladders and inclines, operating heavy equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds
Working Conditions

The work environment/physical demands characteristics described here are representative of those the employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; and high and/or precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
