Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the overall sales and operations of the Millwork location, ensuring maximum sales and profits with available resources.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Millwork location, including production, delivery, and inventory control.
  • Develop and implement inventory control programs to meet location inventory levels and turns.
  • Recruit, hire, and train employees, and develop staffing measures to reduce employee turnover and increase company profits.
  • Motivate employees, maintain a productive workforce, and train successor management.
  • Review and approve wage and salary increases, and establish objectives and performance measures.
  • Recommend capital improvements based on forecasted demand, equipment efficiency, and other factors.
  • Implement cost-effective vehicle and equipment maintenance programs.
  • Support and reinforce company safety initiatives to ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT requirements.
  • Communicate and enforce company policies and procedures, including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and management to foster a healthy work environment.
  • Obtain feedback on customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for budget accountability and reporting, including establishing standard costs, operating budgets, and acceptable inventory levels.
  • Monitor expenses and create new methods to improve each location's financial performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Four years of related managerial experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience in the building materials industry.
