About the Job

CareerPaths NW is seeking a skilled Plumbing Project Engineer to join our innovative team. As a leader in the engineering sector, we specialize in the design, installation, and maintenance of commercial and industrial HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, process piping, and building automation systems.

Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinate engineering work on assigned projects, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
  • Facilitate communication among project team members and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Support Project Managers in tasks such as take-off, estimating, billing, and close-out documentation.
  • Assist in drafting proposals, memos, and other project-related documents, fostering internal departmental relationships.
  • Survey existing buildings for retrofit opportunities, gathering data on energy use and structural characteristics.
  • Develop preliminary designs for budgeting purposes and provide technical support throughout construction efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing Department for the seamless integration of scope, pricing, and delivery of purchased items.
  • Coordinate installation procedures among engineering, construction teams, and stakeholders, managing onsite progress and operational challenges.
  • Handle administrative tasks efficiently, including document control and procurement logs, ensuring projects progress on schedule and within budget.
  • Actively engage with customers, contractors, and subcontractors, attending meetings and providing detailed instructions to meet project expectations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Must have experience in plumbing, with a strong understanding of plumbing systems and technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work proactively and persevere through challenges with minimal supervision.
  • Effective teamwork skills and an understanding of organizational strategies.
  • Technical curiosity and strong problem-solving skills, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, operate devices, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, and lift weights up to 30 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision.
