Regional IT Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:
This position will report directly to the General Manager of the System Support Group, the National System Support Analyst General Manager, and Warehouse Managers. The role serves as a Team Leader for Regional System Support Teams, guiding and supporting them in their efforts to enhance warehouse and transportation operations, as well as the systems that facilitate all operations.
Networking Responsibilities:
- Assists in strategizing and executing modifications to the local IT infrastructure.
- Implements network security measures as dictated by the Corporate Security Director.
- Oversees the management and upkeep of the site's IT infrastructure, directing IT support staff as necessary.
- Manages the administration of the company's Local Area Network (LAN).
Telecommunications Management:
- Develops and manages upgrades to the national and local telephone systems.
- Oversees all telephone modifications, including routing for seating arrangements.
Training and Lab Oversight:
- Manages the administration and maintenance of computer stations and software for training programs, providing additional support as needed.
Internal Systems Management:
- Oversees troubleshooting, system backups, archiving, and disaster recovery, providing expert assistance when required.
- Collaborates with project teams to implement internal systems effectively.
Help Desk Oversight:
- Supervises all help desk operations at both regional and local levels.
- Addresses escalated help desk issues.
- Manages the administration and maintenance of tracking software.
- Engages with internal clients at all levels to resolve IT-related concerns promptly.
Asset Management:
- Establishes and maintains vendor relationships while managing local procurement of hardware and software.
- Oversees the acquisition of all IT supplies at the local level.
Ensures responsible management of company assets.
- Designs and prepares daily and monthly reports as required by corporate management.
- Maintains responsibility for ensuring sanitation and safety practices throughout technology areas in the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to self-initiate and manage warehouse distribution programs as directed by corporate leadership.
- High proficiency in Computer Networking, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Transportation Management Systems (TMS), with knowledge and certifications in LAN as needed.
- Logistics expertise, EDI knowledge, and troubleshooting skills necessary for expedited support.
- Management capabilities for high-level tier support.
- Post-secondary education or a minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in systems management.
