Position Overview:

The Nursing Operations Regional Leader serves as a pivotal clinical authority within the organization, overseeing the charge nurses across the assigned region. This role is essential in providing guidance to nursing teams, ensuring that all facets of patient care adhere to the highest standards.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 4 PM, with no requirements for weekend or holiday shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and oversee the performance of the nursing department within the designated region.
  • Develop and implement operational and tactical nursing strategies to meet organizational objectives.
  • Offer specialized knowledge in nursing operations.
  • Recruit, mentor, and inspire nursing staff, while managing various personnel actions such as hiring, terminations, performance evaluations, salary assessments, and disciplinary measures.
  • Ensure that the region operates at an optimal level of expertise, skill, knowledge, and capability.
  • Collaborate and align with organizational goals to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Manage budgetary constraints; oversee expenses while fulfilling operational, financial, and service obligations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies within the region for successful evaluations.
  • Provide additional support for the After Hours On-Call system.
  • Ability to pass an N95 mask fit test is required; candidates must not have facial hair that interferes with the respirator seal.
  • Frequent local travel is necessary.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse with a preference for a Master's degree.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare, elder care, or the insurance sector.
  • 1-3 years of management experience.
  • Proven ability to drive change with a results-oriented approach.
  • Demonstrated leadership and motivational capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Covid vaccination is mandatory.
