The Regional Director of Nursing Operations will serve as a clinical leader within Element Care, directly supervising charge nurses within the designated region. This role provides leadership to nursing teams and ensures all aspects of patient care meets established standards.
Key Responsibilities- Performance Management: Reviews and manages the performance of the nursing department in the designated region.
- Operational Planning: Manages and delivers operational and tactical nursing plans to achieve goals.
- Nursing Expertise: Provides expert knowledge in the areas of nursing operations.
- Staff Development: Recruits, develops, and motivates staff. Initiates and communicates various personnel actions, including employment, termination, performance reviews, salary reviews, and disciplinary actions.
- Regional Optimization: Ensures the designated region operates at an optimum level of experience, skill, knowledge, and capability.
- Collaboration: Collaborates and aligns within the organization to achieve established goals.
- Financial Management: Manages to the budget; controls expenses while meeting operational, financial, and service requirements.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensures nursing compliance with regulatory agencies within the established region for successful surveys.
- After-Hours Support: Provides supplementary coverage for the Element Care After Hours On-Call system.
- Personal Qualifications: Ability to pass an N95 mask fit test. Position requires a mask where seal is critical. Incumbent is required to not have facial hair that interferes with a tight seal of the respirator.
- Travel Requirements: Frequent local travel.
- Additional Duties: Performs other duties as required.
- Education: Registered Nurse, Master's degree preferred.
- Licensure: Current Massachusetts licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Certification: Current CPR certification.
- Experience: 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in a healthcare, elder care, or insurance industry. 1-3 years of management experience.
- Skills: Ability to drive changes; demonstrated results-driven approach. Demonstrated leadership and motivational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Additional Requirements: Covid vaccine required.
