We're seeking an Electronics Design Engineer to join our cross-functional team developing optical terminal hardware for free-space optical communication internet terminals. The ideal candidate will have experience leading or contributing to multiple product development efforts, projects, and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with optical, mechanical, and software engineers to define free-space optical communication system requirements and solutions.
  • Design electronic systems for optical communication terminals, focusing on high performance while minimizing size, weight, power, and cost.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering or a relevant field, and/or relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working in electronic design.
  • Printed Circuit Board design, simulation, and layout expertise.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Communication system experience.
  • LabView, Raspberry Pi, Xilinx Vivado, and FPGA experience.
  • Real-time hardware and software experience.
  • Aerospace experience.
