Design Engineer - Transportation

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer - Transportation to join our team at EBA Engineering, Inc. (EBA). As a key member of our transportation design team, you will be responsible for designing roadway alignments, intersections, drainage, utilities, and transportation facilities using industry-standard software.

Responsibilities:
  • Design roadway geometry and develop comprehensive transportation plans and designs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects adhere to quality control and safety standards
  • Prepare engineering calculations and technical reports, as well as engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Conduct field visits during design and/or construction, and participate in client and public meetings
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • 5+ years of experience designing roads, highways, and associated infrastructure, including intersections, interchanges, sidewalks, bike lanes, bridge approaches, and parking lots
  • Experience working with Maryland Department of Transportation and Maryland city/county government transportation projects
  • Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, Bentley InRoads, Autodesk Civil 3D, and AutoTURN
  • Must possess an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
