Job Description

Position: Reservations Agent

Reports to: Guest Services Manager & Rooms Division Manager

Overview: The Reservations Agent is responsible for managing incoming calls and directing them to appropriate guest rooms, staff, or departments using the PBX system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls and warmly greet potential guests, utilizing clear and effective verbal communication skills.
  • Document all wake-up call requests accurately.
  • Provide detailed information regarding hotel amenities and services to guests.
  • Understand and respond appropriately to emergency calls.
  • Maintain accurate records of all calls received.
  • Promote the Blue Harbor Resort & Conference Center and its marketing initiatives.
  • Address inquiries related to hotel facilities, airline partnerships, local attractions, and directions, while clearly communicating deposit and guarantee policies.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability for work.
  • Execute any additional job-related tasks as assigned.
  • Availability to work on weekends is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 lbs.
  • Capability to sit or stand for extended periods.
