Position Title: Construction Project Supervisor

Salary: $100,000-$115,000 base salary annually

The Construction Project Supervisor reports directly to the VP of Project Management and is accountable for overseeing on-site operations, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality benchmarks on commercial and industrial projects nationwide.

Key Responsibilities of the Construction Project Supervisor:

Project Planning: Collaborating with management and subcontractors to assess project requirements, establish objectives, set timelines, and manage all facets of the construction project on-site.

Cost Management: Monitoring expenses to ensure the project remains within budget.

Procurement: Ordering materials and supplies, while maintaining oversight of inventory and orders.

Safety Management: Enforcing safety and quality protocols, conducting safety briefings, and ensuring the job site is secure, organized, and compliant.

Team Supervision: Overseeing construction personnel, managing subcontractors and junior staff, and providing constructive feedback.

Effective Communication: Ensuring clear communication with project stakeholders, including resolving any on-site issues or conflicts.

Progress Monitoring: Tracking and reporting on project advancements, preparing progress documentation, and providing management with look-ahead schedules.

Regulatory Compliance: Guaranteeing adherence to building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a construction-related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4-6 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction estimating, engineering, design, or management.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the United States (40%-60%).
  • CPR, First Aid, OSHA-30 training, and Certified Storm Water Operator certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Business-oriented professional with excellent organizational and leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Effective communicator with strong problem-solving skills and interpersonal abilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in basic WINDOWS applications, Microsoft Office Suite, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), and scheduling software.
  • In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes, as well as familiarity with permitting and subcontractor relationships.
  • Proven track record of achievements in the commercial and industrial construction sector.

Working Conditions:

Ability to work extended hours as required – 50+ hours.

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate with subcontractors, construction personnel, inspectors, regulators, and colleagues, as well as function safely within an office environment, in addition to regularly visiting construction sites.
