We are seeking a qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of School Age Care Coordinator at the YMCA of Greater Seattle. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and developing our before and after school programs during the school year and day camp staff in the summer.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will have a strong background in youth development, with experience in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum for children. This role requires excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop our before and after school programs during the school year and day camp staff in the summer.
- Oversee the planning and implementation of culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate activities within the curriculum.
- Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate child care site staff/volunteers.
- Three years or more of experience working with children, camps, childcare, tutoring, or nannying.
- One year or more of supervisory experience.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Completed 30 credits of 100-level or above college-level coursework.
$27.50 - $31.54 per hour, based on education and experience.
