About the Position:

Seattle Children's is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to support behavioral health initiatives. This role involves practicing through three spheres of influence: patient, unit/department, and organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, clinical expertise, education, program development, and consultation to promote nursing practice standards
  • Work collaboratively with leadership to develop patient care criteria, assess health needs, and evaluate nursing interventions
  • Facilitate problem-solving and decision-making to influence patient and unit/department goals

Requirements:

  • Master's or Doctorate in Nursing
  • A minimum of three years of RN experience
  • State of Washington RN License
  • Advanced Registered Nurse License (ARNP-CS)
  • Certified as Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) through AACN or ANCC
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous CNS experience

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary range: $115,277 - $209,228 per year, calculated based on full-time employment. Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision plans, 403(b), life insurance, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.
