About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Youth Development Professional. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families in our community.

Job Summary

The Youth Development Professional is responsible for implementing culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate activities within our Before and After-School Enrichment (BASE) program. This includes supervising groups of children, providing guidance to staff/volunteers, and professionally communicating with parents/guardians.

Responsibilities
  • Implement activities that align with YMCA's Youth Development goals
  • Supervise children to ensure their health and safety
  • Provide guidance to staff/volunteers
  • Communicate with parents/guardians
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment
Requirements
  • 16 years of age or older
  • 1-2 years experience working with children
  • Able to model Y values: Caring, Respect, Responsibility, Honesty
  • Experience planning group activities
  • TB Test and CPR/First Aid Training required

Salary and Benefits

Estimated salary range: $20-$22 per hour. We offer a competitive benefits package, including individual membership to the YMCA of Greater Seattle, free access to mental health resources, and rapidly accruing paid time off (PTO).
