Reporting to the Director of Corporate Accounts, this role involves collaborating with targeted hospitals, GPOs, and IDNs to enhance the Bioventus Surgical offerings within these accounts or systems. After thoroughly evaluating the practices of individual customers, you will engage with them to provide education and solutions aimed at reducing costs, improving outcomes, and ensuring that patients receive top-tier care. These solutions will leverage the Bioventus Surgical portfolio, enabling the National Account Director to surpass assigned revenue targets and align with regional goals. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Sales and Corporate Accounts in developing customer penetration strategies and selecting targets.
- Independently generate customer leads through various defined channels.
- Engage with administration at all levels, including C-suite executives.
- Establish quick rapport and rapidly understand the specific drivers of target accounts regarding our surgical products.
- Educate administration and supply chain stakeholders on implementing changes with the Bioventus Surgical product offering.
- Create and secure buy-in for innovative account solutions that promote the use of Bioventus Surgical products.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Bioventus products as well as competitor offerings.
- Develop insights into how supply chain systems, data, and processes impact our business cycles and those of our customers.
- Act as a subject matter expert for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders regarding hospital customers.
- Support Corporate Accounts with special projects as necessary.
- Drive product utilization in targeted accounts, leading to portfolio adoption and significant revenue growth.
- Oversee all contracting and pricing activities within the designated region.
- Assist in responding to RFIs/RFPs and contribute to overall operational initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare supply chain or a related field.
- Proven ability to effectively engage and drive systemic change with all levels of hospital administration.
- Experience in surgical, orthopedics, or spine preferred.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Solution-oriented team player with a sense of urgency.
- Familiarity with the evolving healthcare payer/provider landscape.
- Knowledge of the medical device industry and trends, particularly in surgical spine.
- Demonstrated effectiveness with hospital and GPO contracts and a deep understanding of hospital supply chain functions and procedures.
