This position requires effective leadership of a team of Maintenance Technicians, ensuring they receive proper training and are equipped to perform their tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will actively engage with the team, employing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address mechanical challenges as they arise. The Maintenance Supervisor will implement innovative mechanical solutions and guide team members in basic repair and maintenance tasks, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Team Management:
- Supervise a team of Maintenance Technicians, delegating tasks and responsibilities while ensuring all members are adequately trained.
- Facilitate training for new Maintenance Technicians and enforce adherence to established protocols.
- Oversee all routine maintenance activities, including the management of control systems and robotic equipment.
Maintenance Duties:
- Assist in the upkeep, maintenance, and repair of the facility, focusing on:
- HVAC, plumbing, electrical, security, and fire alarm systems
- Exterior structures
- Sanitation and repair of restrooms and other facilities
- Waste management and cleaning
- Floor care
- Painting and pressure washing
- Operate and maintain various vehicles and equipment, including:
- Power tools
- Lawn care equipment
- Small tractors and forklifts
- Respond to maintenance work orders and daily assignments related to the facility.
- Complete special projects as assigned, often under tight deadlines.
- Assist contractors with the installation of various equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility, monitoring environmental conditions.
- Prioritize and address repairs as necessary.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding safety and operational standards.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of machinery and repair techniques.
- Utilize a variety of tools and equipment, including automation and technical machinery.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory of equipment, materials, and supplies, including ordering with management approval.
- Provide transportation for equipment and supplies as needed.
- Maintain security of the facility by locking and unlocking buildings.
- Keep accurate maintenance logs and records.
- Provide on-call maintenance support during weekends as part of a rotation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Supervise other maintenance personnel as required.
Safety Compliance:
- Maintain a safe working environment by following established procedures and addressing maintenance needs.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and maintain work areas to prevent hazards.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all tools and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of experience in maintenance and repair.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Preferred certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or related fields.
- Basic carpentry and construction skills.
- Understanding of occupational hazards and safety procedures.
- Strong problem-solving and time management abilities.
- Effective leadership and team management skills.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
