JOB TITLE: Grounds Maintenance Team Member

CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time and Part-Time, Non-exempt, Hourly

As a member of the Grounds Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support the ecological integrity of our property. Your duties will include managing waste, overseeing recycling efforts, distributing firewood, and maintaining firepits, while also assisting with event preparations as required. This role requires a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as our operations are aligned with hospitality services. A significant portion of your work will take place outdoors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist guests as necessary.
  • Conduct regular collection and proper disposal of waste and recyclables across the property.
  • Perform daily cleaning of waste receptacles.
  • Manage the receipt and distribution of firewood for various fire features.
  • Ensure cleanliness of firepits on a daily basis.
  • Assist in the transportation of large items around the property.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of grounds.
  • Provide general information about the resort to guests.
  • Engage professionally with resort staff, maintaining a courteous demeanor.
  • Report significant repairs or maintenance needs to supervisors.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience operating forklifts is preferred; certification is a plus.
  • Prior experience in custodial work or outdoor maintenance is highly desirable, with an emphasis on attention to detail.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Familiarity with maintenance equipment such as forklifts, bailers, and compactors is beneficial.
  • Basic landscaping experience in a professional context is advantageous.
  • Ability to assess spaces critically and implement necessary improvements.
  • Self-driven and capable of following both written and verbal instructions.
  • Effective in both independent and team-oriented work environments.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing and irrigation systems is a plus.

Education:

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
