Sanitation Maintenance Job Description

Hannaford Supermarkets, a leading grocery store chain, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Maintenance professional to join our team. As a Sanitation Maintenance specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our stores.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the cleanliness and condition of the internal and external store and property, including floors, equipment, and restrooms.
  • Ensure the proper disposal of trash and recyclables.
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning of spills.
  • Assist with minor repairs and maintenance of equipment and fixtures.
  • Shovel and salt sidewalks as needed.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety, fire prevention, and security protocols.
Requirements:
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and push/pull heavy equipment.
