Maintenance Technician (Industrial Plant) - Nights (Rotating 12 hour shift, 6p-6a)Brattleboro, VT DescriptionLactalis Group, the world leader in dairy, is a family-owned business with more than 85,000 professionals worldwide, committed to providing healthy and delicious dairy products that bring people together every day.At Lactalis, our core values of AMBITION, ENGAGEMENT, and SIMPLICITY are at the heart of everything we do.If you're looking for a unique experience with a company that offers strong brands, professional expertise, and a dynamic work environment that champions entrepreneurial spirit, hands-on responsibility, and real opportunity for career development, we want to hear from youFrom your PASSION to oursMaintenance Technician role is responsible for installing, troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing processing and packaging equipment and distribution systems through a broad knowledge base of manufacturing skills in electrical, controls and mechanical disciplines involving work of a varied nature with minimum supervision, resulting in efficient and reliable operation of plant facilities.From your EXPERTISE to ours Key responsibilities for this position include: Maintenance Technician •Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and facilities, and aid in the manufacturing of all company products in a safe and sanitary work environment.•Perform emergency repairs in breakdown situations.•Some overtime & weekend " off hours" availability as needed even without forecast.•Perform and follow all OSHA guidelines regarding work and safety manuals.•Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment as scheduled.•Ensure all programs are being upheld and documentation is current.•Write simple correspondence, and complete manufacturing documentation completely.•Ability to disassemble and assemble all parts of machines and support equipment according to the manufacturer's specifications.•Work in a safe and professional manner demonstrating positive attitude and professional demeanor in the performance of daily workSQF Requirements:•Maintain food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.•Required to wear food safety/sanitation PPE (provided by company).•This position necessitates conformance to personal hygiene regulations.•Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.•Ensure all programs are being upheld and documentation is current.Qualifications:•Working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.•Must be able to assess all areas of machines and support equipment in Dairy facility.•Be able to read basic electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.•Knowledge of hydraulic / pneumatic systems.•Knowledge of boiler function and operation.•3-5 years' experience in maintenance divisions or experience in a related position.•Ability to perform TIG welding•High school diploma or general education degree (GED).This is a 12 hour shift 6pm-6am (Every other Weekend off): Week 1: 48 Hours, Week 2: 36 hours Week 1: Sat-On, Sun-On, Mon-Off, Tues-Off, Wed-On, Thurs-On, Fri-Off Week 2: Sat-Off, Sun-Off, Mon-On, Tues-On, Wed-Off, Thurs-Off, Fri-On BenefitsThe following are just a few of the amazing benefits we have to offer:•Lactalis will invest 3% of your annual salary into your 401K - even if you do not participate in the program The company will also match up to 4% of your contributions.
