Job Title: Cook

SGA Talent is seeking a skilled Cook to join our team in Windsor, Vermont. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving food on various food stations, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation, and collaborating with kitchen staff and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of meals following prescribed recipes and portion controls to meet the nutritional needs of patients and staff.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor food quality and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in accordance with health department regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate records of food inventory and communicate with the procurement team to ensure adequate supplies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, nutritionists, and healthcare professionals to provide excellent culinary services.
  • Adherence to Regulations: Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including HACCP guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Cook in a healthcare or institutional setting is preferred.
  • Food Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Education and Certification:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Culinary Degree: Culinary degree or relevant certification is advantageous.
