Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of ophthalmic technicians in the delivery of patient care and services.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.
  • Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient information and treatment plans.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and departmental policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician or Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technician by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO) is required.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a COT, COMT or CO is required.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced clinical environment, interacting with patients, ophthalmologists, and other healthcare professionals. The ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a high level of professionalism is essential.
