Job Title: People and Culture Manager

Credit Union West is seeking a highly skilled and experienced People and Culture Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for executing our People strategy to support the strategic direction of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage employee relations matters, including coaching, counseling, and performance improvement plans, to minimize risk and enhance a collaborative work environment.
  • Implement and maintain employee programs that foster engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Support employees and leaders through the annual performance management review process, including merit and incentive processes.
  • Oversee the payroll process and reporting outcomes to ensure employees are paid according to guidelines and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage day-to-day compensation, benefits, and retirement programs to support employee retention.
  • Lead a staff of three to four human resources professionals and provide coaching, direction, and evaluation of their performance.
  • Manage the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding process for attracting and hiring quality talent.
  • Partner with hiring managers to address hiring challenges and support various initiatives to enhance the credit union's employer brand.
  • Analyze trends and metrics through review of various surveys to provide workplace support and develop solutions to foster increased engagement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
  • Minimum 5-8 years related experience in Human Resources or related experience.
  • PHR, CP, SPHR, or SCP desirable.
  • Proficient knowledge in Employment law that supports federal, state, and local laws.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate, influence, and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong mentoring, coaching experience to a team with diverse levels of expertise.
  • Excellent presentation skills, confident in all settings with individuals at all levels of the organization.
