Job Summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking a skilled Patient Services Representative to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will serve as the primary point of contact for ambulatory practice and pathology patients, ensuring seamless registration, scheduling, and authorization processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and analyze patient demographic and payor data to optimize reimbursement for the MetroHealth System.
  • Ensure accurate and timely patient registration, scheduling, pre-certification, and authorization for services.
  • Uphold the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of work experience in medical billing or patient registration, or education related to medical billing or patient registration from an accredited institution.
  • Possess current certification as a Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of relevant work experience and/or education.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in face-to-face, phone, and written interactions.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.
  • Ability to see and hear within normal visual and audio ranges.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.
