All employees, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must reside in Maryland or neighboring states. Applicants must also be authorized to work in the United States, as the College does not provide Visa sponsorships.

Key Responsibilities:

The role involves delivering a course tailored for small-to-medium-sized business owners utilizing Quicken for their accounting needs, aiming for certification in QuickBooks. The instructor will facilitate ongoing classroom instruction and training to prepare students for the Intuit QuickBooks Certified User Exam. The curriculum encompasses essential skills such as setting up a chart of accounts, reconciling checking accounts, generating invoices, tracking accounts payable and receivable, and producing financial reports. The instructor will play a vital role in the program's development through consistent classroom engagement.

Additional Duties Include:
  • Maintaining accurate records of student attendance and academic performance through assessments and evaluations.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in database management and ensuring timely data entry.
  • Effectively interpreting the QuickBooks curriculum and communicating learning objectives clearly. Training for the Intuit QuickBooks Certified User Exam will be provided if necessary.
  • Performing other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of Intuit QuickBooks software and its practical applications.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to convey concepts in a classroom environment.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient interpersonal and facilitation abilities.
  • A professional demeanor with a commitment to student success.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • Previous teaching experience.
  • Certification as a QuickBooks User and/or CPA with relevant QuickBooks experience.
