About the Role

Cecil College is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Test Proctor to administer Pearson Vue tests in a professional and secure environment. As a Test Proctor, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the testing process and providing excellent customer service to students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer Pearson Vue tests in a fair and impartial manner
  • Monitor the testing room to prevent cheating and ensure the security of the tests
  • Record keeping and clerical duties, including maintaining accurate records of test results and student information
  • Provide technical equipment assistance to students and faculty as needed
Essential Duties
  • Administer Pearson VUE tests in accordance with college policies and procedures
  • Maintain all paperwork and records related to Pearson VUE tests
  • Administer Skills Assessments and other types of tests as needed
  • Proctor exams for Cecil College classes and other colleges and entities
  • Monitor screens and cameras as assigned to ensure the security of the testing environment
  • Assist students with creating appointments for testing or tutoring
  • Answer the phone and direct students to the appropriate person or provide assistance as needed
  • Manage the rental of calculators and related paperwork
  • Be adaptable and able to work well with students of all ability levels, faculty, and staff
  • Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills
Other Related Duties
  • Assist instructors as needed with test administration and other duties
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED; must not be pursuing a degree, certificate, or program that uses Pearson Vue tests
  • Skills/Training: Must pass Pearson's TA test and maintain certification; computer experience with working knowledge of Windows, Word, and Excel; willingness to learn other software or programs as necessary
