Care Attendant

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Care Attendant to join our team at Knute Nelson. As a Care Attendant, you will provide high-quality personal care and support to our residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Resident Care and Services: Provide individualized care to residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Assist with meals, restorative care, and life skills based on resident preferences and regulations.
- Resident Living and Life Enrichment: Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents, promoting their independence and dignity. Engage residents in activities that promote their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Admissions: Welcome and greet new residents, families, and friends. Ensure a smooth transition for new residents, providing orientation and support as needed.
- Customer Meals: Assist with meal preparation, serving, and cleaning, promoting a positive dining experience for residents.
- Homemaking and Laundry: Maintain a clean and comfortable living environment, including laundry and linen services.
- A Minnesota CNA certification is preferred but not required.
- Critical thinking, interpersonal effectiveness, and teamwork skills are required.
- Must complete and pass a state-required background study.
- Able to physically perform the duties required by the position.
- Required to have the ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.
