Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our team. As a Biomedical Equipment Technician at Blue Water Thinking, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and safety of medical equipment at the VA. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing routine preventive maintenance on medical equipment
  • Diagnosing and repairing malfunctions in medical devices
  • Conducting incoming inspections of new medical equipment
  • Collaborating with IT and cybersecurity teams for medical device security
  • Installing, calibrating, and configuring medical equipment
  • Conducting electrical safety inspections
  • Addressing hazard and safety recalls related to medical equipment
  • Performing software repairs and updates on medical devices
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities
  • Providing technical support and training to medical staff

Requirements

  • Two-year associate degree or equivalent military training
  • Demonstrated competency in operational verification procedures and repair service
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and standards
  • Experience in hospital or healthcare performing medical equipment maintenance

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required federal public trust clearance
  • Must provide proof of required vaccinations or exemptions

Compensation and Benefits

Blue Water Thinking offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 - $65,000 as a full-time employee or up to $52.40/hr. as a 1099 contractor. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package.
