About the Role

Sovah Health - Danville is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will play a critical role in performing diagnostic ultrasonographic procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies, and organize work areas to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Provide patient services to all ages using imaging modalities, ensuring accurate records and smooth patient flow.
  • Verify patient identification before performing any procedure, and obtain appropriate orders as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of a Program in Radiologic Technology or Sonographic Technology required.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns, including weekends and holidays.
Certifications and Licenses
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA) required.
  • American Radiologic Diagnostic Medical Sonography Registry (ARDMS) required within one year of hire.
