Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasonographic procedures under the general guidance of physicians/providers.
  • Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.
  • Receive patients, explain the method of procedure, and ensure patient comfort.
  • Provide patient services to all ages using imaging modalities.
  • Keep accurate records, assist with scheduling of the ultrasound, and maintain patient flow.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies, and organize the work area.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of a Program in Radiologic Technology or Sonographic Technology required.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns, including weekends and holidays.
Certifications/Licenses
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) certification required.
  • American Radiologic Diagnostic Medical Sonography Registry (ARDMS) certification in Abdomen or OB/GYN required or within one (1) year of hire.
