Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasonographic procedures under the general guidance of physicians/providers.
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.
- Receive patients, explain the method of procedure, and ensure patient comfort.
- Provide patient services to all ages using imaging modalities.
- Keep accurate records, assist with scheduling of the ultrasound, and maintain patient flow.
- Maintain equipment and supplies, and organize the work area.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Graduate of a Program in Radiologic Technology or Sonographic Technology required.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- American Heart Association (AHA) certification required.
- American Radiologic Diagnostic Medical Sonography Registry (ARDMS) certification in Abdomen or OB/GYN required or within one (1) year of hire.
