POSITION SUMMARY:

The Superintendent is pivotal in overseeing, directing, and coordinating the efforts of Trade Partners, Company Labor, and Joint Venture Labor. This role ensures that safety protocols are adhered to, project timelines are met, and the quality of work aligns with established standards while maintaining budgetary constraints. The Superintendent will supervise Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, Interns, and Trade Labor within their designated area of responsibility. This is an on-site role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage all facets of the project on-site, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and scheduling requirements.
  • Oversee contract execution and fulfill project obligations.
  • Promote a culture of safety and quality assurance.
  • Maintain OSHA 30 Hour certification.
  • Supervise all on-site workforce activities.
  • Conduct daily inspections and coordinate project scope.
  • Assign responsibilities to team members effectively.
  • Collaborate with office and field teams to achieve project objectives and mitigate risks.
  • Organize site logistics and manage on-site operations.
  • Embody the company culture by leading with integrity and mentoring team members.
  • Interpret and understand construction design documents and specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in commercial construction.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and time management abilities.
  • Commitment to fostering a respectful and inclusive workplace.
  • Capability to perform tasks accurately and timely.
  • Knowledge of project processes essential for successful completion.
  • Familiarity with specific trades and scopes of work.
  • Physical capabilities: sitting, standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management software.
  • Understanding of scheduling software.
  • Experience in managing budgets and labor productivity.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships within a team.
