Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Project Superintendent to oversee and coordinate the field operations of multiple civil construction initiatives, particularly focused on bridge construction. This role involves collaboration with project managers and engineers to create a cohesive management team dedicated to delivering exceptional results for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities and a comprehensive understanding of the construction lifecycle, ensuring that all field operations align with project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish a well-organized field office tailored to the specific project requirements.
- Thoroughly review contract documents, specifications, and submittals to ensure compliance.
- Assist in developing the overall Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule and manage it throughout the project lifecycle.
- Formulate and maintain a detailed site logistics plan.
- Evaluate and assist in defining scopes of work for subcontractors.
- Conduct constructability reviews to ensure project feasibility.
- Facilitate preconstruction meetings with subcontractors before commencing work phases.
- Direct field operations to adhere to established plans efficiently.
- Lead regular meetings with foremen to discuss project progress.
- Engage in progress meetings with team members and stakeholders.
- Monitor and follow up on Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and project changes.
- Implement and oversee the project's safety program.
- Ensure quality control measures are upheld in accordance with the project’s quality assurance standards.
Candidate Profile:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction sector, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Proactive in identifying and addressing issues as they arise.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and organization.
- Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining an orderly work environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with the ability to create complex charts and formulas.
- Experience in scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and project administration is advantageous.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year
