Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to oversee the field operations of various civil construction projects, with a focus on bridge work. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure the effective management of projects and the delivery of exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a safe and efficient field office environment.
  • Review and understand contract documents, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, including the creation and maintenance of 2-4 week look-ahead schedules.
  • Develop and maintain site logistics plans for projects.
  • Review and assist in developing scopes of work for subcontractors.
  • Perform constructability reviews and conduct preconstruction meetings with subcontractors.
  • Direct field operations to ensure compliance with project plans and efficient execution.
  • Conduct foreman's meetings and participate in progress meetings with the team and owners.
  • Follow up on RFIs, submittals, as-builts, and changes.
  • Administer safety programs and ensure quality control in accordance with project quality assurance programs.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in building/construction, with 5 years of experience as a superintendent.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain a organized workspace.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with scheduling, subcontract coordination, and general project administration.
