Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Project Superintendent to oversee and coordinate the field operations of diverse civil construction projects, particularly focusing on bridge construction. This role requires collaboration with project managers and engineers to create a cohesive management team, ensuring all field operations align with project goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a comprehensive understanding of general contracting, and a solid grasp of the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain the field office tailored to project needs.
- Thoroughly review contract documents, specifications, and submittals.
- Assist in developing the overall project schedule and manage it throughout the project lifecycle.
- Create and uphold the site logistics plan for efficient project execution.
- Review and assist in defining scopes of work for subcontractors.
- Conduct constructability reviews to ensure project feasibility.
- Facilitate preconstruction meetings with subcontractors before commencing work phases.
- Direct field operations to adhere to established plans and efficiency standards.
- Lead foreman meetings to discuss project progress and challenges.
- Engage in progress meetings with team members and stakeholders.
- Monitor and follow up on RFIs, submittals, and project changes.
- Implement and oversee the project's safety program.
- Ensure quality control in accordance with the project's quality assurance protocols.
Candidate Profile:
- A minimum of 10 years in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a Superintendent role.
- Proactive in identifying and addressing issues as they arise.
- Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data management.
- Experience in scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and project administration is advantageous.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year
