English Language Acquisition Instructor

Position Overview
This role involves the preparation and delivery of courses focused on English Language Acquisition and/or English for Academic Purposes. The instructor will work with immigrant and refugee populations, as well as international students, catering to proficiency levels ranging from beginner to college-level English.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop, instruct, and evaluate courses in alignment with departmental and institutional standards.
2. Assess student learning outcomes and utilize data to enhance teaching methodologies.
3. Stay informed about advancements in the field of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and effective instructional strategies.
4. Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in TESOL, Adult Education, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.

Employment Terms
This is a part-time faculty position contracted on a quarterly basis. Compensation is based on credit hours taught, with a starting rate determined by the previous collective bargaining agreement. Part-time faculty may become eligible for healthcare and retirement benefits after meeting specific criteria.
