Job Summary

Walgreens is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our pharmacists in the delivery of high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Pharmacists: Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will assist with the preparation and dispensing of medications, as well as provide patient education and counseling.
  • Operate Pharmacy Systems: You will be responsible for using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and manage inventory.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: You will engage with customers and patients, respond to their inquiries, and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Pharmacy: You will ensure that the pharmacy is stocked with adequate supplies, clean, and well-organized.
  • Participate in Continuing Education: You will attend training sessions and complete continuing education credits to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in pharmacy practice.
Requirements
  • Fluency in English: You must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Previous Experience: Preferably, you have six months of experience in a retail environment, with prior work experience with Walgreens being a plus.
  • Math Skills: You should have good math skills to accurately fill prescriptions, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
  • Computer Skills: You should have good computer skills to operate pharmacy systems and manage inventory.
  • PTCB Certification: Preferably, you have PTCB certification or are willing to obtain it.
