About the Role

Dent Neurologic Institute is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and experiences. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical services.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and participate in patient care activities, including vital sign collection, mini-mental assessments, and assisting with diagnostic procedures.
  • Collaborate with medical secretaries to schedule appointments and modify provider schedules as needed.
  • Respond to patient inquiries and provide accurate information in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with referring physicians and their offices.
  • Manage phone calls and direct clinical calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Work with patients and office staff to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Enter patient data into our electronic medical record system, including prescriptions, diagnostic testing, and outside procedures.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and diagnostic testing as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between patients, internal teams, and external contacts.
  • Make follow-up phone calls to patients as directed by managers or providers.
  • Perform clerical duties efficiently and effectively.
  • Escort and transport patients to treatment rooms and other clinic locations.
  • Refer patients to appropriate resources for healthcare questions and Dent policies.
  • Interact professionally with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate medical record content.
  • Report errors or problems to ensure prompt action for patient care.
  • Participate in developing and implementing policies to ensure patient comfort and safety.
  • Comply with quality assurance, HIPAA, customer focus, infection control, safety, and other policies.
  • Organize work areas and clinics to maintain provider schedules and prioritize tasks.
